So if you haven’t come to a show to learn what the boys are all about for yourself, YOU NEED TOO! But until then, we kinda sound like a pop, rock, reggae, funk band. We love to jam, and the special part about Earthtone and its members is, all the members have an undying passion for music. Together the band has begun to write songs as a whole, thinking about the final product of the song while they are composing and arranging the different parts.

After a 3 years as an acoustic duo, Corey Zaks (lead guitar) and Kevin Foster (rhythm guitar/lead vocals) decided to take the Earthtone sound to a new level.   Soon after another group of friends in a band called Spies had broken up, the duo quickly jumped on the opportunity to work with the bass player Ryan Nicholls. Ryan obliged to the request and began rehearsing with the band in December of 2008.  After galloping through an array of musicians, Earthtone has finally solidified a line-up when they crossed paths with a drummer from another band at a show last June.  Taylor Gross has quickly become the new back bone of the band.  This will be the bands 4th drummer in all, and the boys are hoping its the last!  Earthtone wants to thank any and all previous members for their contributions and we regret that things didnt work out!

The recently formed quartet has begun writing new material for a third release, and promoted the release of Earthtone’s second EP, in and around the GTA. Playing in venues such as the Horseshoe Tavern, The Elmocombo and the Opera House, Earthtone has begun to quickly turn some heads in their direction. They continue to work at building a fan base by playing weekly and promoting the band online. The band is presently writing (as always) and recording brand new material that they plan to release on third EP, sometime in 2010!
