TourDates Chart in the UK
we have been in the chart for 8 weeks now! as high as number 20
If you are an avid earthtone fan you will have probably heard that we are hanging in on the UK charts for indie artists with Break the Ice. We need anyone who has a chance to head over to tourdates.co.uk/earthtone to listen and rate our song, and then tell your friends about it.
This could be great for the band over seas and help us build up that bulk fan-base that we seem to lack here in canada. We are also looking for anyone who might have photos of our band performing live or video would be even better.
We have had a few people request joining our online street team but we have not had enough response to start an email list or campaign yet. We have three shows booked for the end of January and into 2010 but we need fans to come out. WE have been quiet lately working on writing and recording some new material. IF you wanna hear our latest song that has been completed (Just Wave) come out to Lees palace thursday January 28th for 10:30 pm we will be rocking plenty of ET classics along with some new NEW material.

Sorry about the Vacancy
For the last while we have been very busy working with our new drummer, and perfecting some of the live vocal harmonies some of you may have heard recently. Along with all that comes the writing of new material, recording of finished material, and obviously we were consumed with 4therekord and the competition.
4therekord Update: The competition has been completed! But, unfortunately some of the bands in the top ten were somehow obtaining fraudulent votes online. That being noticed, Joel Kazmi decided to recount all the votes online give the band with the most legitimate votes, combined with the scores of the judges that night the winning prize. EARTHTONE IS STILL IN THE MIX, there will be a blog posted next week when the results are in! ALSO, in January 2010 we will be performing one more time with the top ten bands in a $10,000 showdown. ALL CASH, BIGGEST CROWD, BEST CROWD RESPONSE, come out and help us win the BIG MONEY!!!!

Since August 1st when we signed up for this, everyone in the competition was @ zero. Only because of great fans and dedicated promotion are on the top of the list right now. If you have already placed your vote on this website, we encourage you to tell your parents friends and post it all over your facebook and myspace! We have put a few small promo videos up that are just to help spread the word, so if you head to our YOUTUBE page then, you can share our videos on your facebook and many people will heard about the competition and help us out! The more people you can help us get to vote for earthtone, the better the chances are that we will win! We plan to play one more show for this preliminary competition. Many bands will be getting large amounts of votes when they have theirs shows, and could surpass us! SO WE NEED MORE VOTES ALTHOUGH WE ARE IN FIRST IT DOESNT MEAN ANYTHING RIGHT NOW!
LASTLY! OCTOBER 24th 2009 book it off work, and get a ticket from us, we need as many people as possible out to this final show its our last push to get first place in all of the voting! Please come out!! this is the only show that ever mattered to our band!

BREAK THE ICE
Just a short little note about the latest release. Break the Ice is a song written by Ryan (Bass) quite some time ago. I think this is one of the best songs from earthtone to date. If you want more info about the song, shoot ol’ Ry an email, and we would love to hear what you think of the song! Hello Everyone,
We are working on trying to join some competitions around the lovely internet and have found one that is ontario based and has a huge grand prize (4 The Rekord). Now there the winner is chosen by the fans after a few months of voting and some shows. We have not booked a show date yet, I think once we have enough votes on the webpage we will be invited to play a show where we can get even more votes. check out how it works!! Its pretty cool.
There are 3 ways to get votes……
1) Online voting (1 vote per fan) Starts SAT, AUGUST 1st 2009
2) Votes for anyone who comes to your show (5 votes for each person coming to see your band)
3) Bonus votes for advanced ticket sales (30 ADVANCED tickets sold gets you an automatic 100 VOTES!!!!)
NOTE; Anything above 30 sold tickets will get you even more bonus votes

NOW…we have set up a one click link to take you directly to the site where you can sign up as a fan. and vote your head off. I know, i know this is a pain in the ass, so we will be giving some incentives. and if you do a great job spreading the word we will make you the fan of the month for August, September, October, and or November.
